The zone accelerates the development of green remanufacturing from recycled resources in areas like production of whole automobiles and car parts or electrical and electronic products.
By 2020, the value of the intelligent manufacturing industry is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan ($1.45 billion).
The Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) – located in Wuhan in China’s Central Hubei province – has made great strides in developing its electronic appliances industry, giving full play to the advantage of having leading companies in the sector located there, including Haier, Gree and the Midea Group.
Industries such as biological pharmaceuticals, modern Chinese medicine, synthetic drugs and health services will be prioritized in the WEDZ.
