Among the projects, 12 focus on advanced manufacturing and have an investment of 6.34 billion yuan, while one focuses on modern services and has an investment of 5 billion yuan.
The zone will spare no effort to improve the new energy and intelligent connected vehicle industrial chain and promote the high-quality growth of the automobile industry.
Intelligent Power System Co, the new energy vehicle arm of Dongfeng Automobile Group Co and a solutions provider of intelligent and electric systems, will invest 720 million yuan in an intelligent renovation project.
The investment will be used to build a smart factory, upgrade a production line, and improve the productivity of new energy vehicle powertrain.
In addition, construction on projects involving medical facilities and public health will be sped up.
The expansion project of the 3A-grade Wuhan Union Hospital will cost 2.07 billion yuan, said Cheng Fanjun, assistant president of the hospital.
A trauma emergency medical center will be launched, which will be the first State-level regional medical center in the zone, he added.
The expanded hospital will accommodate a stomatology center, plastic surgery department, health management center, international outpatient building, and a hemodialysis center.
The projects all involve cutting-edge technologies with large amounts of investment, broad market prospects and strong social benefits, which are significant for improving the city's urban functions, accelerating the construction of a center of modern industrial innovation and development, and building the automobile valley industrial innovation corridor, according to an official of the zone's development and reform bureau.
