The 40-day Spring Festival travel rush began on Jan 7, and passenger flow in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) remained stable throughout.

Wang Shuangxi, official from the Hanyang Passenger Transportation Center, states that the number of passengers is larger than last year. The center's average passenger flow reaches 600 daily. That number is expected to reach 3,000 as the travel rush draws to an end. The center is estimated to receive and send about 4,000 people during the whole travel rush.
The center is currently operating 30 routes, and registers 100 trips every day. During the Spring Festival travel rush, the number of passengers coming from and to Jingzhou, Yichang, Jingmen, Qianjiang, Honghu and Xiantao is expected to increase.
