Automaker Lotus' HYPER SUV Eletre – its first all-electric production model – entered the global market on Oct 25. The production model included two versions - the Electre S+ (for sports) and the Electre R+ (for racing).

The first batch of Eletres will be delivered to users in the first half of next year, according to local news reports from the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).

Feng Qingfeng, CEO of the company, said that Eletre contains Lotus' soul and DNA, and is a milestone responsible for transforming the brand.

The two domestic versions are said to have more top configurations than their overseas counterparts. The Eletre S+ is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds, while the Electre R+ can achieve the same in 2.95 seconds.

Lotus is planning to complete its sales and service network in 10 countries this year, including China, the United Kingdom, and France. By the end of 2023, Lotus plans to establish nearly 100 stores in more than 40 cities in China.
