Construction of Phase II of Metro Line 16 in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province will soon be completed, according to local news reports on Oct 11.

Government units in charge of the transportation and city management from Wuhan Metro Group Co are constantly optimizing road restoration plans to minimize the effect that the road work has on people's daily lives. Various roads, which needed to be removed to enable the underground construction of the metro line, have now almost been rebuilt.

All the road restoration work is being carried out after midnight so that most passengers will not be affected. To date, 90 percent of fences have been torn down and 60 percent of the roads involved have been restored.

The route for the second phase of Metro Line 16 will be extended to the General Aviation and Satellite Industrial Park in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, strengthening its connection with the urban central area of Wuhan.
