The Wuhan Economic &Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) Fitness Center (South Stadium) is currently being built. Construction did not stop during an event for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday that lasted three days from Sept 10 to 12.
The first phase of the project is expected to finish by the end of this month and put into use in December.
With a total construction area of 32,000 square meters, the first phase of the center includes a swimming pool, a sports health consultation center, a badminton court, and supporting facilities for physical training, fencing, weightlifting, and other sports.
The second phase of the project will consist of fields and courts for ball games, and nearly 500 parking spaces will be designed.
The fitness center can provide space for basic sports and educational and cultural activities.
