The 2022 China Automobile Talent Summit Forum was held on Aug 25-26 in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
The opening ceremony of the event took place on Aug 26 and was designed to serve as a think tank platform for discussions and sharing between high-end personnel in the automobile industry.
The forum was sponsored by the Auto Talents Committee of China Talents Society and organized by Dongfeng Motor Co. Corporate leaders from whole-car makers and auto spare part suppliers throughout China, as well as representatives from their human resource departments, were invited to take part in the talent forum.
In his keynote speech, Fu Yuwu, honorary chairman of the Auto Talents Committee of China Talents Society, said that China is currently at a critical stage of in-depth reforms and transformations, and emphasized the need to strengthen the industrial chain, the supply chain, the innovation chain and the talent chain.
He also proposed that schools optimize curriculum arrangements in order to foster talent for the auto sector, and that the government create a tolerant innovative environment for the sake of the growth and development of relevant technicians and researchers.
Liu Ziqing, secretary of WEDZ's working committee, said that in the next five years, the zone will invest more than 5 billion yuan ($727.5 million) to support innovation and entrepreneurship among local talent.
