The China EV100 New Energy Vehicle (NEV) and Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) Industrial Innovation Alliance was set up in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on July 18.

Zhang Yongwei, secretary-general of China EV100, Liu Ziqing, secretary of the working committee of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), Tang Chao, director of the zone's administrative committee, Yang Xiangwei, director of the Wuhan municipal bureau of economy and informatization, and more than 60 company representatives attended the alliance's unveiling ceremony.

The alliance will reportedly make full use of the platforms and expert panels offered by China EV100, focus on core industrial bottlenecks, commercialize more related technologies, promote cooperation between NEV and ICV supply chains, and establish an information and public service center for the global auto supply chain.

Authorized by the State Council, China EV100 was founded in May 2014 and consists of senior officials from governments and representatives from the auto industry and universities. It has been consistently following national policies, answering to corporate and social demands, researching issues of popular concern, establishing coordinated innovation platforms, and pursuing the transformation of the automobile sector.
