Junsha Avenue extended road to be launched in June

The extension of Junsha Avenue, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), is scheduled to begin in June and finish two years later. The project will reportedly shorten the driving time between Huangling town in Caidian district and Shamao area to about 25 minutes, and will make it faster for Shamao-based passengers to reach Wuhan's urban areas.

The extended road will start at the intersection of Mayinghe Avenue and Junsha Avenue and end at Zuoan Avenue, with a total length of 2.4 kilometers. The road will be a two-way six-lane arterial road with a planned travel speed of 50 kilometers per hour.

Junsha Avenue opened to the public in September 2020 and is currently 3.76 kms long. After being extended, the avenue will cross Niuhai Lake, Maying River, and other water areas, and will bolster connections between Junshan New City and Shamao area.
