The Luxun Bookstore & Art Gallery was launched on April 14 in Junshan New City in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) by the zone's government and the Beijing Luxun Museum.
The launch ceremony was attended by Li You, Party secretary and vice president of the museum, Wu Chaoan, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Wuhan Municipal Committee, and Liu Ziqing and Tang Chao, senior officials of the zone.
The Luxun Bookstore & Art Gallery will be the first branch established by the Beijing Luxun Museum outside Beijing. It will be divided into five areas – a Chinese and foreign bookstore, a culture and creativity pavilion, a cultural lecture hall, an art gallery, and a dining hall.
It is scheduled to open to the public in July, will further enhance public services in the zone, and is expected to become a major revolutionary education spot in Wuhan.
