The zone consists of eight industrial parks, namely Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Zone, Smart Eco-city, Business Park, Export Processing Zone, Port Logistics Park, Automobile and Auto Parts Industrial Park, General Aviation & Satellite Industrial Park, and Wuhan Jingkai Agricultural Development Investment Co, Ltd.

Automobile and Auto Parts Industrial Park

Established in May 2005, the Automobile and Auto Parts Industrial Park is one of the eight industrial parks of the zone and has played an important part in the vehicle production and development of the auto parts industry of China's Motor City.

The total area of the park is 34.79 square kilometers. The north zone (old industrial park) is about 6.73 sq km and renowned as a provincial-level development zone approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and so designated by the provincial government in 2006. The areas of the south and the west zones are 19.11 sq km and 8.95 sq km respectively.

        Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Zone

The Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Zone covers an area of 60.62 square kilometers and consists of Zhuankou Old Industrial Park (48.26 square kilometers), Phoenix Industrial Park (8.37 square kilometers), Huangjinkou Industrial Park (2.98 square kilometers) and Dongfeng Honda II (1.01 square kilometers).

There are 1115 companies in the Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Zone, including 213 industrial enterprises above a designated size and 902 below a designated size.

        Wuhan Export Processing Zone

Wuhan Export Processing Zone (Wuhan EPZ) was established in April 27, 2000, in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (Hannan), referred to as the WEDZ, approved by the State Council as one of the first 15 pilots in China.

The zone has an area of 1.01 square kilometers. Located in the hinterland of the WEDZ, it faces Chechengnan Road, Zhushanhu Avenue, Dongjinghe Road and Dongfeng Avenue in four directions.

        Port Logistics Park

The Port Logistics Park of the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), Hubei province, is a deputy bureau-level agency of the WEDZ approved by the Wuhan municipal Party committee in 2015.

Wuhan New Port planned a port logistics area of 50 square kilometers in the WEDZ, while the WEDZ has implemented 14.12 square kilometers in its short- and middle-range plans.

        Business Park

The Wuhan Business Park is centered on three modernization themes. It serves as an "industrial service center", an "urban function center" and a "regional fashion center" to develop producer services, consumer services and all kinds of cultural creative industries.

Positioned as a political, cultural, economic and transportation center in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (Hannan) and covering an area of 60.94 square kilometers, the business park is striving to become a modern service demonstration park with influence throughout China.

Wuhan Jingkai Agricultural Development Investment Co, Ltd

Wuhan Jingkai Agricultural Development Investment Co, Ltd is located in the southwest of the WEDZ, and covers an area of 157 square kilometers, which includes three streets: Dongjing, Dengnan and Xiangkou, and four state farms: Wujin, Dongchengyuan, Hannan and Yinlianhu. The company employs the State-owned enterprises model to manage the agricultural park and has built a 8-10 square kilometer core area of modern urban agriculture, centered by Xiangkou. It has also built an investment and financing platform to raise funds and created a model of "platform plus small parks" to upgrade the infrastructure of "1+8" small parks so they can develop multiple forms of modern agriculture. The company has furthermore initiated a "platform plus plantation" method to advance extensive structural reform of the four state farms and organize regional agricultural and land reclamation groups based on the central policy of reform and development of land reclamation. Finally, the company has launched a "platform plus large parks" approach to promote effective integration of agricultural resources in the region and take the lead in achieving agricultural modernization.

        Smart Eco-city

The Smart Eco-city in Wuhan was founded in early 2015, combining the two old development zones of Smart City and Ecological City, which were established in December 2012 under the Wuhan Economical and Technological Development Zone's planning of industry and city integration.

At present, with a planned area of 89.82 square kilometers, the Smart Eco-city is home to about 30,000 people. In accordance with its image as a Charm Intelligence Valley Ecological New Town, the Smart Eco-city is focused on four themes: ecology, intelligent applications, culture and recreation.

General Aviation and Satellite Industrial Park

The General Aviation and Satellite Industrial Park is located at Daju area in the southern part of Wuhan, covering a planning area of 24.75 square kilometers. The park will become a destination for investment overseas, a center for infrastructure planning and an enterprise service provider.

The park has started its construction in aviation industry infrastructure and aims at balanced development of upstream-downstream industries such as the manufacture and sale of general aircraft, airport services and operations, research and development of satellite equipment and supporting business services. A new industrial mix with the manufacture of navigation devices, satellites, and new energy and smart emergency facilities as the main driver will be formed by 2020.
