As of the end of November, 275,000 more graduates had found employment in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province, signifying new progress in the city's employment levels, according to local media reports.

In 2020, Wuhan has comprehensively upgraded its talent attractiveness and introduced a series of related policies.

It has issued 22 policy innovation measures for college graduates who stay in the city for employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, and is providing a one-time job-hunting and entrepreneurship subsidy of 1,400 yuan ($214.48) per person to some 310,000 fresh graduates from Wuhan-based universities, vocational colleges, and technical colleges.

The city launched a large-scale recruitment event targeting college and university graduates on Dec 2.

A total of 12,000 job opportunities were offered at the on-site event, as well as more than 500,000 job positions offered through an online event.

More than 230 well-known companies based in Wuhan - including Xiaomi Technology, Yangtze Memory Technologies, Guide Infrared, and WuXi AppTec - attended the offline recruitment event.

According to officials from the city's human resources and social security bureau, the city will continue to implement the employment policies that have been issued, actively encouraging and guiding college graduates to find employment or start businesses.

The city will carry out vocational skills training benefiting some 450,000 graduates throughout the year, and issue training subsidies worth not less than 500 million yuan ($76.25 million).
