Dongfeng Avenue is 13.3 kilometers in length. It stretches from Wangjiazui Overpass on the 3rd Ring Road to Wuhan West Overpass on the City Expressway.
The reconstruction project has a total length of 26.6 kilometers and consists of two parts -- a two-way eight-lane elevated road and a two-way six-lane side road.
The avenue will connect with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and outer ring roads seamlessly and become the main expressway leaving the southwest part of Wuhan.
