        Feng Yang: growth trilogy

        "People always ask me how to insist on working at the post, and how to improve. My answer is: you have to be willing to think, you have to dare to practice, and able to endure hardships." 

        The youngest senior technician in Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co Ltd since its establishment, Feng Yang, with his endeavor and diligence, has been appreciated as one of the "most beautiful front-line staffs" this year.

        "People always say that I am the youngest to be selected as 'the most beautiful front-line staff', in fact, I've worked in the Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co Ltd for nearly five years, starting from being a assembly line operator to now becoming a supervisor." Feng said.

        In 2011, Feng entered the automobile company and was initially assigned to work on the assembly line, which requires standardization and precision, but no technological knowledge.  His work included installing the wrench and screws for the door. Although the work is relatively mundane, Feng continued to improve his skills in operating tools.

        Due to the instability of the spreaders, it is easy for the screw to fall into the door sewn when assembling the door. As the sewn is narrow and dark, it is difficult to take the screw out, delaying the production process duration because it can cause the entire assembly line to stop working.

        To solve the problem, Feng invented a "magnetic rod" with a bike brake line, a magnet in the waste headset, a patch LED light from the broken LCD screen, a cell phone lithium battery, a switch, and a USB interface.

        The little tool has now become popular in the company.

        To be a skilled worker rather than an operator on the assembly line, Feng has made great efforts. As a new staff that didn't specialize in maintenance, he accumulated experience through participating in a variety of competitions, and learning from the elder workers.

        "In the workshop, young employees are mostly assigned to work on the assembly line. In face of the same mundane mechanical works every day, it's easy for them to become impatient," Feng said, "Only with thoughts, skills and efforts can a person improve."

        Feng has been interested in mechanical equipment since his childhood. Through studying the internal structure of the remote control cars in junior high school and electronic dictionaries and mobile phones in high school, he learned how to repair them. The more challenging a mechanical structure is, the more he wants to figure it out. 

        Those not only help him gain professional knowledge, but also strengthen his manipulative ability. 

        "Now I do my favorite job, have my innovative studio, and have become the ‘most beautiful frontline staff’, I am very happy. I will not stop learning and improving, I hope I can make some achievements in technological design in the automotive industry, which will hopefully be appreciated and popular in the whole society." Feng said.
