        Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Company

        Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Company, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Company Limited (DFL), is located in the Dongfeng Avenue of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hubei province.

        The company is a business unit sponsored by the DFL for manufacture and sales of Dongfeng independent brand passenger vehicles, occupying the core position in Dongfeng independent brand businesses. 

        The business began in July 2005. After two years of operation, Dongfeng passenger vehicle department was established as a new emerging business unit of DFL on July 25, 2007. 

        On June 9, 2009, in accordance with the development requirements of passenger vehicles, DFL changed the department's name into Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Company (DFPV). 

        Since its establishment in 2007, vehicles including Dengfeng Fengshen S30/H30/H30 CROSS/A60/A30/AX7/L60/AX3/AX5, Dongfeng A9, as well as new energy vehicles Dongfeng Fengshen E30 / E30L, have been produced and put on the market by DFPV. 

        In 2012, the sales exceeded 60,000 vehicles for the first time, and in 2016, the company reached total sales of 150,077 vehicles, a milestone achievement. 

        A total of 5.02 billion yuan ($730 million) was invested by the DFPV for the construction of a new energy project, whose estimated output was 165,000 vehicles per year. The project began construction in Sept 2013, and was put into operation in 2014.
