A single window for foreign business handling was set up at Wuhan Citizens Home, Hubei province on August 25, a milestone for Wuhan in building an international talent free port.
The single window has integrated five services, namely, talents introduction, public security, foreign experts, businesses as well as entry-exit inspection and quarantine, first of its kind in China.
Meanwhile, two single windows were established in the Hubei Pilot Free Trade Zone Wuhan Area and Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (Hannan District).
In the next step, service windows for education qualification verification and non-criminal evidence will be opened.
In recent years, Wuhan has attached great importance to the construction of the International Talent Free Port, with a series of policies facilitating foreigners in the city, including the implementation of 72-hour visa exemption for travelers and setting up service windows for foreigner permanent residence.
At the day, 10 facilitation measures on exit-entry administration for foreigners were also launched by the Wuhan government, which involve four aspects - to offer convenience for foreigners' permanent residence application, for Chinese of foreign nationalities to work, live and study in China, for foreign students to start businesses and for domestic enterprises to recruit foreign talents.
It is expected that the implementation of the measures will make "green card" application triple on year-on-year basis. It will play a vital role in Wuhan's hiring high-level talents and developing economy, which is a solid foundation for building an international talent free port with nationwide influence.
